I designed these three art cards in an attempt to give a new life to these beautiful postal stamps I have collected through the years. They deserve to be displayed. We can learn so much about countries and history from them. Combined with scraps of fabric, some machine stitching and free hand drawing they're truly one of a kind.
Another thing that always bothers me is that greeting cards are used once and then thrown away. Through the years I have made so many new cards recycling from the old cards we received. I used them to make gift tags, too. So much money is spent on expensive cards, and so much paper is just thrown in the garbage.
My thought was when I was making these that once they're used as greeting cards, they can be left on the display as they are, or mated and framed. They can be easily collected, too.
