Purple dream, fiber art cuff

It seems like the Holidays just rushed through our house. Between cleaning and the preparations made before guests arrived, then all the cooking (I'm old school, and that means all my meals are made from scratch), entertaining while they're here... taking them around Orlando for some sightseeing...cleaning after they left... me getting the flu, and being out of order for few days.
And before you knew it, the holidays were over, the kids went back to school, and I was preparing lunch-boxes in the morning, walking the dog.... and finally getting back in my studio. But not so fast... pause for a second, there is a part of me that wants to rewind the last two weeks and get at least some rest, and enjoy the holidays at least for a day.  The other part of me is just happy that all of it is over, and wants to get back to the usual schedule. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy having guests (especially relatives that we haven't seen for ages). Somehow living here in Florida entitles us to get more visitors than when we lived in Croatia. I guess we have to pay our dues  for living in this climate. My husband jokes sometimes that we should put a bed and breakfast sign on our house.

OK, enough complaining.
