Non vitrage V and a raccoon visit

Non vitrage V

This is a recently finished artwork.  I'm quite happy with the result, and I will possibly explore more in that direction.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a very cute visitor in our backyard.  A quite young raccoon came to feast on some Queen palm fruit. He was very hungry obviously since he let us come quite close to him. My husband threw some apple pieces in the grass in front of him, and he loved it. When he was done with his lunch, he carefully backed up from us and disappeared.... At least he was a decent one and didn't come at night to devour our garbage bag, which happens from time to time in our neighborhood.

Easter 2012

I just finished a nice batch of naturally dyed Easter eggs, using turmeric, onion skins and beets to get three different colors. I didn't expect my beets dye to end up this pale but it's a nice contrast to the turmeric yellow and the beautiful browns from the onion skins.

And yes, I forgot to wear gloves while taking them out of the dye and now my hands and nails have this yellow tint that will probably take a few days to wash out.
